Home in Arizona

Hmm, I really intended to start my blog last week, but the yard work and cooler weather were calling me. I quickly found out that in Arizona you don't do yard until October, so I spent the entire weekend cleaning the yard. It's amazing how few family members have the same vision for a clean yard! This was the first week we could turn off the air conditioner.

Church was good today. My junior church class is the highlight of my weekend. I didn't know when I took the class that I would enjoy it so much. We usually have almost thirty children, and most of them are bus kids. Some of them are from a neighborhood called "Crack Alley," and many of them are hispanic. I'm getting pretty good at remembering how to pronounce hispanic names; just can't spell them too well.

Thanks Patty, for getting me started with a blog. You are more wonderful than you know!!!

  1. Woohooooo! She's alive!!!! But why did you have to start with yard work? I've been putting mine off since last spring and STILL don't have time for it. And you're right—no one else in the family cares. I feel sure it will get done about a week before we try to sell our house (whenever that is). Boy, I miss you!
